Following is EXACTLY what I used and how I did this. Being not crafty type,
I visited the craft store and she (bless her heart) sat with me 1 hour and
put one together, telling me what to use, how to use it, why to use it all
the while I was able to tell her about PMU foals.!!! She was clueless on
the issue.
Following are the directions as I watched her create a ribbon:

1) 9 1/2 inches long horse tail hair-all one length. Beading wire gage 34
to hold the hairs nice and tight for when you mess around with the ribbon.
"Hair is slippery". Spritz hair with water first. It was also helpful to
spritz with diluted hair conditioner (I used Infusium 23). This is the key
step, take time to secure your loop with beading wire as you wish. I used
hemostats to hold and pull and twist the wire. Needle nosed pliers would
work too. This is a good time to think loving thoughts about what you are
doing because hair is unruly. I thought of Casper the friendly ghost as
this seemed to be the shape I was attempting to create. Price is
$1.49/spool.
.
2) Use Spool of Ribbon, 10 yards/spool, 1/8 inch width. Use MAROON (most
common Premarin strength), SUNSHINE YELLOW (2nd most common pill color seen)
and FORREST GREEN( 3rd most common pill color seen). Loop 8 inches of
ribbon (all 3 colors) through hair, loop downward. Bring the ribbons tails
through the ribbon loop and gently pull and position (this is a slip knot).
Curl each ribbon end with a pair of scissors. The price was .99/spool.

3) Use E 6000 tube glue (strong stuff) and affix an acrylic round clear
crystal size 30ss on top of the ribbon. I choose to use the back of the
slip knot area as the crystal fit in snug there. Let set overnight to set.
$4.99/tube glue and $1.35/pack of 20 crystals.
4) Affix to clothing with a 2 inches pearl head pin (corsage pin). Pin from
inside of shirt to hide the head. .09/pin

"This is my tear for the 50,000 baby horses produced through the Premarin
Company who face the slaughter process yearly. Call 1-800-KNOW-PMU for more
